PROGRAMS & INITIATIVES
The Black Council of Windsor-Essex is actively engaged in various programs and initiatives aimed at addressing systemic anti-Black racism. Our organization works on community empowerment, education, and advocacy. We provide a platform for the Black community to thrive and succeed, promoting a culture of unity and progress.
Community Empowerment

Our community empowerment initiatives focus on fostering a sense of belonging and pride within the Black community. We organize events and activities that celebrate Black culture and achievements, creating spaces for joy and solidarity.
Education & Outreach

Education is a cornerstone of our organization. We are committed to providing educational resources and promoting dialogue on Black history, social justice, and equity. Through our outreach programs, we work to inspire and empower the next generation of Black leaders.
Arts &
Culture
Art and culture are integral to the Black experience. We support and showcase Black artists, musicians, and creatives, promoting cultural expression and creativity within the community.

Advocacy & Awareness

We are dedicated to raising awareness about anti-Black racism and advocating for policy changes to dismantle systemic barriers. Our efforts aim to amplify the voices of the Black community and drive meaningful change in the Windsor-Essex region.
Health & Wellness

The well-being of the Black community is a priority for us. We run initiatives focused on mental health, access to healthcare, and overall wellness, ensuring that individuals have the support they need to thrive.
Economic Empowerment

We are dedicated to creating economic opportunities for the Black community. Our programs focus on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and economic development, empowering individuals to achieve financial independence and success.
